Alison Redford
Alison is the Premier of Alberta and the leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Alberta. She has been active in politics since the 1980s, in roles varying from the Principal Legislative Advisor to the Secretary of State of External to serving in the Office of the Prime Minister of Canada. More recently, she was appointed as one of four International Election Commissioners to administer Afghanistan’s first parliamentary elections and served as an advisor to the Privy Council Office on Canada’s future involvement in Afghanistan. Alison has been an active member of her community and has served on several Boards including the Alberta Human Rights Education Advisory Board.
Dave Kelly
As a television host, an actor, interviewer or teacher, Dave Kelly has been in front of an audience almost every day for the past 20 years. As an award winning television host he has interviewed over 25,000 people from presidents to moms. As a live event host he has worked across the country for clients like the Business Development Bank of Canada, The Young Presidents Organization, and Encana. Most recently Dave starred as the Cat in the Hat in the smash hit, Seussical The Musical.
Martha Parker
Martha was the Executive Director of Volunteer Calgary for 16 years and served on dozens of community initiatives in that time. Martha is a past co-chair of the Alberta Nonprofit/Voluntary Sector Initiative, and was a member of the Joint Coordinating Committee of the National Voluntary Sector Initiative. Recently, Martha has been engaged with Volunteer Canada and the Centre for Excellence in Corporate Community Involvement developing and testing a number of emergent tools for encouraging strategic employee community engagement. She is also actively involved with Volunteer Calgary, Vantage Points and Volunteer Alberta.
Bryan Pinney
Bryan is the Vice Chair of Deloitte & Touche LLP and has over 30 years experience serving many of Alberta’s largest corporations. As an expert in his field, he has testified in excess of twenty times before arbitration tribunals, Provincial Court and the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta. In his community, Bryan serves on the board of governors of Mount Royal University and has been a past member of the Alberta Securities Commission’s Financial Advisory Committee and the Board of Governors of the Calgary Petroleum Club. Bryan is a founding member of the Calgary Presidents’ group, a network of Calgary based business leaders.
Bob McInnis
Bob is a father and grandfather who has worked to improve the lives of kids in Calgary for the past ten years. As Executive Director of Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids, he ensures that thousands of kids receive essential nutrition while building 75 strong community partners who are tackling child hunger in their own way. Bob was the recipient of the First Calgary Community Vision Award and the Today’s Parent For Kids’ Sake Innovator Award in 2008. Bob has been a long-time supporter and volunteer of Calgary Reads.
Adam Legge
Adam became the youngest President of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce in 2010. He also served as the project manager for the Calgary Economic Development Strategy on behalf of the Office of the Mayor. Adam has a strong base of knowledge on the Calgary economy and business community having created economic forecasts, studies and analyses of the local and regional economy. As an engaged member of his community, Adam has served on several Boards as the Board Chair of WordFest, a member of the Board of Attainable Homes Calgary Corporation, and as a member of the United Way of Calgary and Area Board of Directors.
Stephanie Felesky
Stephanie is a member of the Board of Directors of Canexus Corporation, a member of the National Board of Directors of the Institute of Corporate Directors, a member of the Calgary Police Commission and a member of the Investment Committee and the Human Resources and Governance committees at the University of Calgary. She is also the co-chair of Upstart and a founding director of the Calgary Homeless Foundation. Stephanie was appointed to the Order of Canada in 2004 and in 2009 was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Laws from the University of Calgary.
