CBC Calgary Reads Big Book Sale 2018

The sale is our way of evening out that imbalance.

People purge their books, we sell them and the funds raised are used year round to support literacy programs, and get free books into the hands of kids who have none. Helping us collect books is great for workplace or community-building.

Donate good quality, gently used adult and children’s books at these locations:

We cannot accept encyclopedias, dictionaries, text books, Harlequin Romances, Reader’s Digest, cassettes, magazines or agendas.

Volunteer as an individual, group or team!

Get involved by organizing pre-event book drives, sorting and setting up books for the sale, helping with the sale or bringing your energy to clean up after the event is over. Be part of the fun!

Shop for the books, stay for the fun!

It’s a literacy carnival with live music, children’s story corner and book browsing for all.
