The last CBC-Calgary Reads Book Sale was a huge, profitable and incredible accomplishment and received rave reviews from our customers. The total 'take' was $98,000 which means that about $89,000 will directly benefit Calgary Reads students, their families and the schools that we serve... and if it was all used just for core tutoring, it would serve 1500 struggling young readers!
The success was absolutely because of our volunteers - from sorters, to the set up crews, to sale day volunteers, to the RBC Foundation and RBC staff, to the staff at CBC, to Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, to the companies who fed us on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, to our wonderful and hardworking Book Sale Committee - THANK YOU.
