Learn to help; help to learn

Calgary Reads offers skill development and ongoing support.

Calgary Reads appreciates the passion and dedication of educators, literacy advocates, caregivers and parents. The carefully developed learning opportunities offered by Calgary Reads are designed help build awareness, enhance capacity and make lasting change in the lives of young readers.

We provide resources and learning opportunities for educators and tutors. Literacy thrives when educators have the tools to teach effectively. Calgary Reads supports teachers and literacy experts through dedicated programs, including the Calgary Reads Souper Saturday workshops and two-day Summer Camp, that offer new knowledge, fresh insight and practical ideas.

We also support parents and caregivers with targeted learning opportunities.

Find out more about learning opportunities, including dates and topics, on our Events page.
