Literacy-in-a-Box was developed by Calgary Reads to help educators promote family literacy in fun, engaging, effective and easy ways. Literacy skills are critical to all aspects of our lives and the research suggests that one of the best ways to support the development of these skills is through school based family literacy approaches. Come be inspired and wander through the many excellent resources including invitations, presentations, speaker notes, to-do lists, supply lists and more! Literacy-in-a-Box is yours to keep and implement any way you choose. It’s up to you -  it is “not a box” but whatever you make it!
